A message from the Jackson Township Trustees
In our
effort to balance the continuation of service, while maintaining the health and
safety of our residents and employees during the COVID-19 crisis—the following
updates have been made:
Public Works (Park
and Highway): The Jackson Parks Division has reopened
all of the parks. Please use the walking/jogging track. Baseball/softball
fields and tennis courts reopened on May 26, 2020, with some limitations (see
Ohio Department of Health’s Order for Facial Coverings throughout the State of
Ohio). The basketball courts and soccer/lacrosse/football sports fields have also
reopened. We continue to monitor Governor DeWine and Ohio Department of
Health’s directives on sector specific operating requirements and will make
adjustments as information is made available. Please feel free to exercise
and enjoy the fresh air, but remember to follow social distancing guidelines, wear
a facial covering, applicable park regulations, and sector specific operating
requirements (sports, sport leagues and outdoor activities) and guidelines for
the activity you are engaging. If you have any questions, please use the
contact information below:

Safety
Center: The Fire and Police Departments will remain fully staffed and
engaged. While the Safety Center lobby is open to walk-in traffic, the
waiting area in the lobby will be limited. A face covering will be
required upon entering the building. Face coverings will be available at
the front counter. If you have an issue that you feel requires an
in-person visit to the Safety Center, if possible, please call prior to
arriving to make necessary arrangements. If you require non-emergency
assistance, please use these contacts:

Administration:
The Administration Department offices will be open to public access Monday
through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If possible, please make an
appointment prior to arrival. A face covering will be required upon
entering the building. Face coverings will be available on a table at the
entrance. Permits, yard waste cards, and zoning applications remain
available online at www.jacksontwp.com. If you have any questions, please use these contacts for each
department:

Jackson Township
will continue to follow the orders of Ohio Governor DeWine and Ohio Director of
Public Health. The Township’s Zoning Department will monitor businesses for
compliance. If a possible violation is observed, then the appropriate
authorities will be notified for enforcement.
The Board of Trustees
understands this is a difficult and trying time in many ways for all of us and
the personal sacrifice that each of us is making. The Administration is
here to help and we ask for your assistance in return. Jackson Township is a
fantastic community and we will get through this by working together.
