Chief Tracy Hogue began his tenure as Chief of the Department on March 12, 2011. He is a 35 year veteran of the Jackson Township Fire Department, and was in charge of the Fire Prevention Bureau from 2001 until being promoted.
Chief Hogue attended Stark State College and Aultman Hospital Paramedic School. He is a graduate of the Homeland Security course "Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings", has attended Bowling Green State University for arson courses, attended Ohio Arson School in Columbus since 1999, has had training from the National Fire Academy, and completed Fire Officer 1 training as well as Ohio Fire Safety Inspector training. He is the past Chairman of the Fire Data Exchange Association and on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Arson Investigators, Ohio Chapter.
He also received the Fire Investigator of the Year award in 2009 from the International Association of Arson Investigators, Ohio Chapter.
