Mr. Bergman seconded the motion. All was in favor.
The board discussed putting in an open space requirement for parcels over 10 acres; however, decided to leave it out because they felt the buffing requirements are substantial and they don’t want to restrict the building area so much that businesses wouldn’t want to come to the area.
Ms. Magyaros stated that she thought the purpose section was a little long so she suggests separating it out and adding a second section titled “Goals of the R-T Campus District”. Ms. Magyaros stated that the wording would remain the same.
The board agreed.
Mr. Bergman stated that under permitted uses where it states “Day care facility, personal services, indoor recreation, and health and wellness uses when provided as a secondary or accessory use located within the primary use structure”, he wonders if it might not be better to say when provided as an accessory or employee convenience use located within the primary structure, so that any imagination of the developer to actually put a day care center in the building on its own would be eliminated.
The board agreed.
Mr. Bergman stated that he thinks personal
services, indoor recreation and heath and wellness should be taken out
of (h) and added to (g) so they are used as an accessory or employee convenience
within the primary structure. This way someone couldn’t come in and
put a Bally’s on the property.
The board agreed.
Ms. Magyaros stated at the next work session they will discuss what lab levels will be permitted and work on cleaning up any language that may need it.
Mr. Benner made a motion to continue the work session until August 18, 2005 at 5:00 p.m.
Mr. Bergman seconded the motion.
All was in favor.
Respectfully submitted,
Joni Poindexter
