OPEN HOUSE 2011
The annual Jackson Township Fire Department Open House was held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Jackson Township Safety Center.
A highlight of the Open House was the dedication of the 1953 GMC Fire Engine, one of the original trucks purchased when the Fire Department was formed in 1952. Past and present members of the department assisted in revealing the beautifully restored truck.
Since 2008, under the leadership of Firefighter Mike Wykoff, volunteers have dedicated many hours of their time to complete this project.
There were also tours of the Safety Center, displays, safety vehicles and light refreshments.
