MINUTES OF JACKSON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
OCTOBER 19, 2006

Pizzino called the special meeting to order at 8:02 a.m. at the Jackson Township Hall with all Trustees, Fiscal Officer, Lyon and Fitzgerald present.

The Pledge of Allegiance was cited.

Pizzino moved and Meeks seconded a motion to go into executive session for Police Department Personnel (Appointment/Employment/Compensation) – Interview applicants for Major.

3-0 yes

Pizzino moved and Burger seconded a motion to adjourn.

3-0 yes

At 12:44 p.m., Pizzino made a motion to rescind his motion to adjourn and Meeks seconded it.  Pizzino noted Burger had left for another meeting and was not in attendance during this portion.

Pizzino asked Chief Neftzer if he would like to comment on the Police Department Personnel.  Chief Neftzer said there were eight individuals that were interviewed and all the applicants served themselves and the department well in their preparation and the way they conducted themselves during the interviews. He said that all the candidates deserve to be recognized for their desire to make the Jackson Township Police Department the best it can be.  Chief Neftzer asked for a motion to schedule second interviews with three individuals.
